Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.  

2. Entry is only open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years or over. Employees (and immediate families) of the Promoter, Are Direct, Are Media Ltd and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin.

3. The promotion commences on 01 May 2025 and closes on 20 Oct 2025 at 11:59pm AEDST/AEST (for online entries) or last mail received (for mail entries) on the same day (“Promotional Period”). 

4. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. To be eligible to enter, individuals must purchase any Puzzler branded puzzle magazine that features the ‘Tropical Getaway’ promotion (“Participating Titles”) during the Promotional Period. For the sake of clarity, any Puzzler branded puzzle magazine that does not feature the ‘Tropical Getaway’ promotion will be deemed invalid for entry into this promotion.

6. Entries may only be submitted via official entry routes. To enter, individuals must complete one (1) of the following entry methods during the Promotional Period:

a) Mail Entry: To enter via mail, individuals must, complete the “Prize Puzzle” in the Participating Title (purchased in accordance with clause 5 above), write the correct solution to that puzzle (“Prize Answer”) in the space provided on the official entry coupon (found within that Participating Title), complete the rest of the official coupon with all of the requested personal details (including their full name, mailing address, postcode, valid email address and daytime telephone number), and then send the fully completed entry coupon to “Puzzler Tropical Getaway”, GPO Box 590, Sydney, NSW 2001, AU” (for Australian residents) or to “Puzzler Tropical Getaway”, Private Bag 92-217, Auckland Mail Centre, Auckland 1142, NZ” (for New Zealand residents) so that it is received during the Promotional Period;

OR

b) Online Entry: To enter online, individuals must complete the "Prize Puzzle" in the Participating Title (purchased in accordance with clause 5 above), then visit the promotional entry page at www.puzzler.com.au/competitions (in Australia) or www.puzzler.co.nz/competitions (in New Zealand). Entrants are required to enter the "Prize Puzzle" "Prize Answer" into the "Competition Answer" field located on the online entry form. Entrants must also locate the "Entry Code" on the printed competition coupon in-mag and enter it into the "Entry Code" field also located on the online entry form. Entrants are required to complete the form with their personal details (including their full name, mailing address and postcode) and submit it so that it is received during the Promotional Period.

7. Maximum of two (2) entries are permitted per Participating Title purchased, subject to the following: (a) maximum of one (1) Online Entry permitted per Participating Title/Issue purchased; (b) maximum of one (1) Mail Entry permitted per Participating Title/Issue purchased; and (c) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry instructions outlined above. Each Mail Entry must be posted in a separate stamped envelope and contain an official entry form with a correct Participating Title/Issue puzzle solution. For the sake of clarity, individuals are eligible to submit up to two (2) entries for each Participating Title/Issue purchased, however one (1) of those entries must be an Online Entry and one (1) of those entries must be a Mail Entry.

8. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for late, lost or misdirected entries, or entries not received by the Promoter for any reason whatsoever. Original copies of entries will not be returned to the entrant after the draw has been completed.

9. Incomplete, indecipherable, incorrect or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.

10. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages 
or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

11. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

12. The draw will take place on 27 Oct 2025 at Direct Response Australia, Unit 19, 191 McCredie Rd, Smithfield NSW 2164 at 10am AEDST/AEST. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order, in the event that an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn. Winners will be notified by telephone and in writing within seven (7) business days of the prize draw. Winners names  (last name, first initial and postcode)  will be published online at www.puzzler.com.au and www.puzzler.co.nz on 03 Nov 2025. In the event of any SA winners, their names will be published in The Advertiser on 03 Nov 2025.

13. The first two (2) valid and correct entries randomly selected from all entries received, will each win a Flight Centre Gift Card valued at $7,500 each. For any AU winners, the prize will be awarded in AUD. For any NZ winners, the prize will be awarded in NZD.



14. Total prize pool is valued at up to AUD $15,000.00 Incl GST.
15. If necessary, an unclaimed prize draw will be held on 28 Jan 2026 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to distribute any unclaimed prizes, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners, if any, will be notified by telephone and in writing within two (2) business days of the unclaimed prize draw. Winners’ names  (last name, first initial and postcode)   will also be published online at www.puzzler.com.au and www.puzzler.co.nz on 02 Feb 2026. In the event of any SA winners, their names will be published in The Advertiser on 02 Feb 2026.

16. Prizes must be taken as offered. The prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable, unless otherwise specified. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize. All prizes must be taken as offered. 

17. If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

18. Prize values are correct at time of printing/submission; no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prizes. 

19. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any late lost or misdirected mail (including but not limited to prizes). 

20. The prizes will be delivered to the nominated mailing address (as stated on the entry coupon) of each prize winner to any State/Territory and/or city/suburb in Australia or New Zealand. In the event of a change in residence within the duration of this competition period, proof of address may be required for verification purposes.

21. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, in the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take a prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.

22. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any late, lost or misdirected mail (including but not limited to prizes). 

23. The Promoter is not responsible nor liable for any prize damaged in transit in the delivery of their prize.

24. If an entry is selected as a provisional winning entry, validation of the winner's circumstances and the validity of their entry will be undertaken by the Promoter. Method of validation (without limitation) will be determined by the Promoter in its complete discretion. If the winning entry is deemed to be a winner, the winner will be notified as per the Terms and Conditions herein. 

25. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia or any statutory consumer guarantees as provided under consumer protection laws in New Zealand ("Non Excludable Guarantees"). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.

26. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) taking/use of a prize. 
27. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate. 
28. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
29. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website or posting any entries via mail is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet Service Provider or mailing company used and postage option selected. 

Privacy: 

30. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. The Promoter may also disclose PI to other third parties, who may send the entrant promotional and marketing communications, unless the entrant ticks the box on the entry form stating "Please do not provide information about me to any organisation not associated with this competition". Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be accessed by visiting www.puzzler.com.au/legals/privacy policy (for Australian residents) or www.puzzler.co.nz/legals/privacy policy (for New Zealand residents). In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter's Privacy Policy, the Promoter may also, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct PI to the Promoter and direct any complaints regarding treatment of their PI according to the Privacy Policy. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entries collected in Australia or New Zealand will not be disclosed overseas.

Gift Card Terms of Use for Flight Centre

These terms apply to all gift cards and electronic vouchers issued by or on behalf of Flight Centre Travel Group Limited (“FCTG”) trading as “Flight Centre” or “Travel Associates” (each a “Gift Card”). By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a Gift Card, you agree to the following terms.

1. Gift Cards can be redeemed at all Flight Centre and Travel Associates stores located within Australia (for all product types excluding currency) or when a booking is a flight only online at www.flightcentre.com.au.

2. Gift Cards are valid for use within 3 years from the date of sale and are available for use twenty-four (24) hours after purchase

3. Gift Cards will be issued with a PIN number. In order for a Gift Card to be redeemed, the customer must provide the associated unique PIN number at time of redemption. If a PIN number cannot be provided, the Gift Card will not be able to be redeemed.  

4. Gift Cards may only be applied up to the maximum value loaded onto the Gift Card which is unspent at the time of use. Where the cost of purchase exceeds the available balance of the Gift Card, the excess amount must be paid by another payment method.

5. Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Gift Cards are non-refundable.   If a refund is necessary in connection with a booking made using a Gift Card (for instance, where refunds may be required in accordance with FCTG’s standard booking terms) funds will refunded to the booking contact who made the relevant booking against which the Gift Card was redeemed.  

6. Gift Cards may be redeemed in whole or part during the validity period. Where used in part, no change will be given. Any unused balance may be used against future purchases, but will not be refunded or credited when the Gift Card expires.

7. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded.

8. Gift Cards may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, gift cards, traveller’s cheques, cash passports or any other form of currency.

9. Gift Cards may not, without the prior written consent of FCTG, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction or other unauthorised resale sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a Gift Card is sold or used in breach of this condition, FCTG may in its absolute and sole discretion cancel or render invalid the Gift Card without a refund and the Gift Cardholder may be refused redemption of the Gift Card. FCTG will take all reasonable steps to notify you of FCTG’s intention to cancel or render invalid a Gift Card within a reasonable time before cancelling or rendering invalid the Gift Card. 

10. FCTG may cancel or render invalid any Gift Card (including any available balance) which FCTG determines in its absolute and sole discretion was purchased at any time and in any way (including via online auction or other unauthorised resale sites) by fraudulent means. FCTG may cancel any bookings made using any fraudulent Gift Card which may include any non-refundable amounts. FCTG will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you if you purchase or attempt to redeem any fraudulent Gift Card. You acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to redeem any available balance on any fraudulent Gift Card and that FCTG will not be obliged to hold such balance on file for you or otherwise redeem or exchange that Gift Card. 

11. You are responsible for the use and security of your Gift Card and PIN number. Lost or stolen Gift Cards may not be replaced or refunded. Lost or stolen PIN numbers cannot be reissued or replaced. You are liable for all transactions on your Gift Card except those caused by fraud or negligence by FCTG or its employees.

12. Defaced, mutilated or altered Gift Cards may not be accepted, replaced or refunded. 
13. Gift Cards may not be used for payment of credit or retailer accounts.

14. Personal information collected in relation to your Gift Card will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policies which are available at www.flightcentre.com.au and www.travelassociates.com.au. 

15. The laws of Queensland, Australia apply to these terms and conditions and any disputes arising in relation to them. 

16. Questions or problems relating to Gift Cards should be directed to FCTG’s Gift Cards Care Team on +61 7 3132 5970 or email gift_cards@flightcentre.com . Complaints about purchases made with a Gift Card should be resolved directly with the store concerned.
